iCloud sync, privacy and Premium

How Mandaboard keeps your data private, what Premium unlocks, and how sync works through your own iCloud.

Your data is yours. Mandaboard has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of its own.

Where your data lives

Boards, areas, cards, wins and thought records are stored on your Mac in a local database. Images are stored on your Mac too. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn on sync.

Sync

Sync keeps your data up to date across your Macs. When it's on, your data is stored in your own private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit — not in an account of ours. We can't read it. Sync is part of Premium.

What Premium unlocks

  • iCloud sync across your devices.
  • Security and privacy features, including encryption.
  • All eleven premium themes.

Everything else — the board, the Mandala, Wins, the Thought Log and the command palette — is free. Premium is $29.99 a year, with Family Sharing.

Managing your subscription

If you bought Premium through the Mac App Store, you can view or cancel it in your Apple ID settings. Your data stays on your Mac either way; turning sync off doesn't delete it.
