Privacy Policy

How Mandaboard handles your data — everything stays on your Mac, with no accounts, no servers of our own, and no tracking.

Last updated October 19, 2026

Mandaboard is built so that your thoughts stay yours. This policy explains what the Mandaboard app and this website do with your information. It is short because there is very little to explain.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you write in Mandaboard — boards, areas, cards, wins and thought records — is stored on your Mac in a local database. Images you add are saved on your Mac as well. This data is not sent to us and we cannot read it.

There is no account, no sign-in, and no profile. We do not run servers that hold your content.

iCloud sync

If you turn on sync, your data is stored in your own private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit, so it can follow you across your Macs. That data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, lives in your iCloud account, and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We never receive a copy and cannot access it.

This website

This website does not set advertising cookies and does not track you across other sites. If we introduce analytics, we will use a privacy-respecting, aggregate tool and update this policy. If you email us, we receive your message and address, and we use them only to reply.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your data.
  • We don't show ads.
  • We don't build a profile of you.
  • We don't require an account to use the app.

Children

Mandaboard isn't directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, note them in the app or on this site.
